Fans, don't close your eyes just yet wrestling fans --
former two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, former
nine-time WWE World Tag Team Champion, and the hottest
free agent to jump ship in 2005, Christian
Cage, made his first-ever appearance on The Mayhem!
One of the most eye-opening & candid interviews of
Christian's career and quite possibly in MNM history.
Coming off the heels of his Total Nonstop Action Pay-Per-View
debut match against "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown,
"Captain Charisma" discussed his departure from
the WWE and what it's been like in his first month in
TNA -- including why it was important for him to finish
up at Taboo Tuesday & the following SmackDown for
closure, whether or not "The Peep Show" will
be coming to Impact anytime soon, and what the fans can
expect to see from him in the new year. Will we see a
continued new arsenal of moves? Who will he square off
against in 2006? The answers may surprise you!
This interview is also one of the most comprehensive of
Christian's career, pertaining to his time with the WWE.
He breaks down what it was like getting his start with
the company in The Brood (and whether or not he ever feared
their ring entrance from the bowels of the arena), his
own personal thoughts on the WCW/ECW Invasion angle, what
is was like working with Lance Storm in the Un-American
faction, his on-air relationship with Trish Stratus, &
going one-on-one against "Mr. Monday Night"
Rob Van Dam & Booker T -- along with several other
current WWE superstars.
Christian also detailed his current friendship with his
former tag-team partner, Edge -- and gave his takes on
his new "shoot" persona. Cage also finally revealed
which of the legendary "five-second poses" &
which of his matches in Canada were his personal favorites.
Does he think the WWE is in good hands with John Cena
& Batista at the helm? And could he ever see himself
going back "up north" in the future?
In addition, Christian gives his dirt on why he chose
to take part in "The Self-Destruction Of The Ultimate
Warrior" DVD, his thoughts on the future of tag team
wrestling, and why we may never see Chris Jericho in a
wrestling ring ever again.
Peeps around the world unite, and listen to your leader
on The Mayhem! |

Look who has returned for a nice holiday surprise! It's
been far too long, but after a two+ year hiatus, former
WWE superstar, D-Lo Brown,
joined Monday Night Mayhem for some holiday cheer and
to preview Ring Of Glory's "Great Commission"
show. D-Lo gave some pretty interesting insight into Vince
Russo's latest venture, and why he feels the former "Anti-Christ
Of Professional Wrestling" has truly changed for
the better.
While catching up with Mosh & Hero for the first time
since WrestleReunion II & on a small hiatus from his
most recent tour of Japan, D-Lo took the fans down "The
Mayhem Memory Lane" -- to 1997 & the height of
the Nation Of Domination vs. DX feud. Some awesome insight
into one of the hottest feuds in professional wrestling
& sports-entertainment history were covered in great
detail. D-Lo also described his personal relationship
with Ron "Faarooq" Simmons and why he classifies
Ron as his "grandfather." In addition, D-Lo
gave his own takes on whether or not the WWE dropped the
ball on his former tag team partner, Mark Henry, and where
he sees "The World's Strongest Man" headed after
his WWE contract expires. And exactly, how close were
we to seeing a NOD reunion at The Great Commission? Your
answers, courtesy of "Your Home Of Wrestling Radio."
In this 30+ minute interview, D-Lo also talked about why
he still classifies the WWE European Championship as "his
world title," his memories of working with the late
"British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, whether or
not he sees Brock Lesnar working in Japan damaging any
hopes of working with the WWE in the future, and what
his fondest memory of his run in TNA is. D-Lo also becomes
the first Mayhem guest to be put in "the hot seat,"
-- to answer the controversial topic of the WWE's new
drug policy. Being in their locker room prior, does he
feel this will work, or is this a matter of the company
saving face after the tragic passing of Eddie Guerrero.
This answer may shock you!
And, if that is not enough, in one of the most hilarious
moments in Mayhem history, find out the live reaction
to D-Lo receiving an e-mail on the air (from MNM) containing
the highly-talked about picture of "The Macho Man"
Randy Savage looking like Kris Kringle himself! |

Good things always have a history of starting up around
the same time and going together like milk & cookies --
Monday Night Mayhem was born in February 2002, Total Nonstop
Action Wrestling became a reality in June 2002. As The
Mayhem closed in on its four-year anniversary & with the
holiday season upon us, we were honored to have the president
of TNA, Dixie Carter, join
The Mayhem -- with just days before TNA's last Pay-Per-View
of the year!
Dixie gave her official "2005 State Of TNA Address," reflecting
on the year that was in Total Nonstop Action & what's
to come in 2006. From the signings of Team 3-D, Rhino,
Christian Cage to the debut of TNA Impact on Spike TV,
a lot has happened for the company over the past year.
What does she have in store for 2K6?
Dixie also previewed the Turning Point Pay-Per-View (including
more on a special surprise that will "change the face
of wrestling forever), address the rumors of Chris Benoit's
& Chris Jericho's possible jump to TNA, where not not
she might be interested in signing Christy Hemme, the
chances of seeing Round II of the "Monday Night Wars,"
and her uncensored thoughts on the WWE's new drug policy. |

Former NWA World Tag Team Champion,
Simon Diamond, also made his return to The Mayhem
after a two-year hiatus -- and you better believe that
the man known as Pat Kenney had a lot to say!
Simon broke down his upcoming Basebrawl Match at the Turning
Point Pay-Per-View (The Diamonds In The Rough vs. Chris
Sabin, Sonjay Dutt, & "The Demon" Dale Torborg w/Chicago
White Sox World Series Champion, AJ Pierzynski, in their
corner) and what it has been like working with Bobby "The
Brain" Heenan, who will be the special guest commentator
for his match.
He
also gave his takes & thoughts on this year's ECW reunion
shows (One Night Stand/Hardcore Homecoming) & whether
or not we will see the "extreme" revival again in 2006,
Dawn Marie's release from the WWE, Joey styles becoming
the full-time play-by-play voice of Monday Night RAW,
why his former tag team partner, Johnny Swinger, has not
been pushed since signing with World Wrestling Entertainment,
and of course...the success of the Notre Dame Fightin'
Irish football team & their chances of succeeding against
the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. No
problems here wrestling fans! Three cheers for Simon Diamond,
as he stepped back into the Monday Night Mayhem squared
circle!
This
was a huge night in Mayhem history -- and we invite wrestling
fans throughout the world to tune in & listen to just
one of the reasons why "Your Home Of Wrestling Radio"
is the hottest show out there! |
