It's a BCW invasion, as Buffalo Championship Wrestling (www.bcwwny.com) makes its presence felt on the Mayhem. Current BCW TV titleholder Troy "The Boy" Buchannan and BCW television commentator "Totally" Joe Todaro sit in with the crew and commandeer the airwaves, BCW-style:

- It's Troy's birthday and he'll promote his B-Day show if he wants to and he does just that, pimping the impending BCW "Buchannan Birthday Bash" at The Buffalo Budokan.
- Buchannan cohort, XXX, places a suprise phone appearance on MNM, singing the praises of the BCW's most dominant faction: The Player's Club.
- In a strange twist of fate, XXX's phone inadvertantly bumps the scheduled guest, Nikita Koloff from the program. Will "The Russian Nightmare" seek vengeance or does The Player's Club have a master plan to bump MORE guests from The Mayhem. Stay tuned!
- Todaro drops a bombshell, announcing the increased presence of BCW on local Buffalo television.
- All the latest in BCW news and rumors and more Greg Karma references than allowed by law!

The BCW Crew also sits in with The Mayhem, talking up some WWE SummerSlam memories, complete with authentic audio from SummerSlam 1990, and getting
pumped for Ballpark Brawl III: Canadian Carnage!

It’s a legendary night of firsts here on the Mayhem, as ½ of the NO DQ Wrestling Radio Show (formerly of 107.7 FM, WNSA, in Buffalo, NY) make a live, in-studio appearance on Monday Night Mayhem, uniting the two wrestling radio powerhouse on one collective wavelength. NO-DQ'ers Ivan The Impaler and Pimp Daddy B, along with associate Gary Ricci, go head-to-head with The MNM Crew, including:

• An update on currently injured NO DQ member Chris Halen and details on the forthcoming benefit to take place at The Continental (www.continentalofbuffalo.com).
• The announcement of Pimp Daddy B as the newest member of The MNM family, lending his talents of webmastery to this very site.
• Wrestling insights and musings done only in the way that NO DQ can serve up, as well as Ivan taking a crack to Angry Hero’s wrestling trivia.
• Lots of good-natured camaraderie between two former competitors, showing that a mutual respect for your fellow man can shine through above it all.

Elsewhere on the show:

• As Willie Nelson would croon "On the road again” as The Big Mosh (assisted by show correspondent Eric Steel) talk up the MNM Road Trip to witness WWE SummerSlam 2004 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada the night prior. (**Scope out the "picture page" section of the main MNM site for photos from this sordid affair**).
• It's "Randy Orton Appreciation Night" on The Mayhem, featuring a full WWE SummerSlam 2004 recap and exclusive audio from the conclusion of the Orton/Benoit bout.
• The REAL “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels descends upon The MNM airwaves, giving his thoughts on the best-of-three series in TNA between Triple X and America’s Most Wanted, as well as his upcoming bouts in 3PW and reactions to wrestling at Ballpark Brawl III.
• Reactions to Ballpark Brawl III ("Canadian Carnage"), particularly who won "The Natural" Heavyweight Tournament, details of The Hart Foundation Reunion, and which son of a MNM Hall Of Famer wore a Monday Night Mayhem T-shirt to the ring.

"The Summer of Mayhem" comes to a close as the crew welcomes "The Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff (www.nikitakoloff.com) to the show in a special 2-hour edition! The former NWA U.S. and TV titleholder joins The Mayhem to run the gauntlet on a myriad of subjects in an epic interview:

* Did you know Nikita was almost "Ivan Drago" in Rocky IV? Well, it almost happened and Nikita shares that experience with us - The Angry Hero marks out as we take a trip down memory lane with some of Nikita's finest moments in the NWA, such as the best-of-seven series with Magnum TA, clotheslining David Crockett, and his reaming with Dusty Rhodes to win The Crockett Cup.
* Nikita reflects on breaking into the business and what it was like drawing insane amounts of heel heat as a member of the evil Russians with his Uncle Ivan Koloff.
* It's all about changing of the times, as Nikita remembers the shift from the old-school approach of the NWA to the corporate atmosphere of the WCW in the early 1990's.
* So why did Nikita never make it to the WWE, like much of his NWA brethen? He explains why it never happened and how close it came from being a reality in a way that you'd never think was possible.
* Nikita discuss his retirement and why he chose to leave the business at an early age.
* Most importantly, Nikita goes into depth about his current evangelical work and how it feels to be have found purpose in life and be completely fulfilled. Furthermore, he goes into the basis behind his two books, Breaking the Chains and Wrestling With Success and how blessed he feels to have reached this point in his life.

Quite honestly, Nikita Koloff is one the most engaging and interesting guests we've had on the show and we strongly urge you to listen to his interview. Unfortunately, we had to follow up one of our best segments ever on The Mayhem with...

* The first-ever "Tomko Awards," honoring the best of the worst in pro wrestling in the first seven months of 2004. In addition, we have exclusive audio of one of the nominees that has to be heard to be believed!
* The Crew also looks back that the awesome season that was "The Summer of Mayhem," featuring me.mories and thoughts from The Big Mosh, The Angry Hero, Chaz, and Pharoh
* Kane and Lita are getting hitched so its time to discuss the best and the worst of wrestling weddings on The Mayhem.
* All this plus the winners of the "MNM Smackdown Throwdown" (from Ballpark Brawl III), the announcement of WWE's Tough Enough IV, and plenty more!

So like every good (or bad) TV show or radio program, there is "lost" episode that falls through the cracks of continuity and is seemingly gone for all eternity. The August 30th, 2004 episode of Monday Night Mayhem is that show, with a good hour of the show disappearing like a plane in the Bermuda Triangle. Strangely enough, this show was scheduled to be a 15th anniversary tribute to the Hulk Hogan cinema disaster, No Holds Barred, and a special phone interview with Chris Hill of The Buffalo Bisons and the mastermind behind the Ballpark Brawl series. However, all that remains is the final half-hour of the show, only featuring The MNM Crew and Chris talking about RAW and SmackDown, thus robbing us of the prior hour of wrestling talk goodness.

I think the reason behind this phenomena of the missing episode could be summed up in one of three theories:

1) Vince McMahon, not wanting ANYONE to celebrate the visual atrocity that is No Holds Barred, attacked The Mayhem as they left the studio and swiped the tape, making it scarce along with Outback Jack and Joan Severance's career!
2) Seeking never have his good name villified on the air again by Chris Hill, one-legged goober Zach Gowen and his buddies, The Insane Clown Posse, held a seance which focused on erasing the tape's contents forever!
3) Mosh bought a bad batch of tapes and this one backfired!

My money's on choice A. Judge for yourself.
